Babalola Adeboye Arojojpye became Olofa in 1917, the same year Oba Ariwajoye I died. It was reported that the Oba was very courageous and bold. Several developments occurred during his reign as listed here- under amongst others:
POLITICS:
The position of Ojomu was return to Gedegbe’s compound during his reign, he was very courageous, bold and very uncompromising with the Britons. His case was reported to Hermon Hodge, which earned him a deportation as the Olofa on 1st December 1920 on the ground that alleged stealing was very rampant. Although he reigned up to 1920, Oba Arojojoye was in Ilorin up to 22nd February 1939 (i.e. for about 19 years) before he was allowed to return to Offa.
SOCIAL INFRASTRUCTURE:
It was during the reign of Oba Arojojoye that the motor able road linking Offa to Erin Ile was constructed as well as the construction of Oyun Bridge. Oba Adeboye died eleven days after his return from Ilorin.
