The Chairman, Oye Local
Government Area of Ekiti State, Mr. Sunday Ajimoko, has instructed understudies
regarding the region against enjoying violations, following the drawn-out
strike activity of the Academic Staff Union of Universities.
Ajimoko offered the guidance in a
meeting with newsmen in Oye-Ekiti on Thursday.
He said it was unfortunate that
the continuous strike had kept every one of the understudies at home with a
large portion of them inactive and exhausted.
He cautioned the understudies,
particularly indigenes of Oye-Ekiti to avoid social indecencies, for example,
capturing, substance addiction, taking, digital extortion, and assault, which
could endanger their future.
The director said that
obliviousness was not a reason in that frame of mind of regulation, adding that
the best stage an understudy could take during the strike was to obtain abilities,
for example, fitting, styling, cake baking, and spiking.
"As a parent and concerned
partner in training, I need to exhort and similarly caution our understudies to
avoid wrongdoings during this drawn-out strike by ASUU.
"I'm mindful that the
greater part of them are inactive, exhausted and they miss their different
colleges however being inactive can be extremely perilous.
"I need to encourage each
understudy to embrace expertise obtaining projects, for example, fitting,
styling, cake baking, and pointing to empower them to get going during this
period," he said.
As indicated by him, securing
abilities will assist the understudies with being appropriately drawn in till
ASUU chooses to cancel the strike.
Ajimoko cautioned that any
understudy found enjoying wrongdoing would be captured and indicted
